Welcome to MRC
Migration
Resource Centre (MRC) is a Building and
Wood
Workers
International & American
Center for International
Labor Solidarity (Solidarity Centre) initiative to act as a hub of
information for trade unions and migrant workers seeking information on
migration from
India to GCC countries. MRC is a part
of the project intervention with
the BWI Affiliates in
South India (TCWF, KKNTC
and PCLU) on Organising and Ensuring
Decent Work for South Asian Migrant Workers (Indian) to the
Gulf States (
Bahrain and
Qatar).
The
web portal is launched on 3rd August 2009: the information base will
be expanded to further cover various aspects of global migration, especially
migration from India to GCC countries; useful resources (important forms and
list of documents required for enabling the migration process etc.); current
news & latest updates and other relevant information for workers willing to
migrate and trade unions with the ultimate objective of Organising Beyond
Borders and uphold rights of migrant workers.
